Used for practice with Devi and as part of a pooja altar. Traditionally also used as a decoration and accessory in southern India. Angavastram is wrapped around the shoulders or can also be used to cover the torso.
It is a rectangular fabric that can be paired with a dhoti, veshti or any comfortable outfit. This sacred vastram is woven in soft cotton and dyed in fiery Devi red.
The border has calligraphic words from the Devi Stuti "Jai Bhairavi Devi, Namah Sri, Namah Sri, Devi Namah Sri".
It can be worn by both men and women.
